About Jamie
With over three decades in the tattoo industry, Jamie Davies stands as one of Northern California's most accomplished and influential artists. Tattooing professionally since 1995, Jamie opened Tattooz Ink in 2004 with a clear mission: elevate the tattoo experience.
From his early days tattooing on Hilltop Drive, to competing on Spike TV's Ink Master Season 2, to traveling coast to coast for conventions and guest spots, Jamie has built a career defined by innovation, craftsmanship and a relentless commitment to doing things the right way.
Jamie is now back in the downtown location at 1690 California Street, on the corner of California and Placer.
The Ink Master Years
Jamie began to travel and compete at tattoo conventions along the West Coast. In 2011 he moved the shop to Bechelli Lane, where he furthered his idea of individual private stations within the studio. Shortly after, Jamie was cast to compete on Spike TV's hit tattoo competition show, Ink Master. He was part of the Season 2 cast, but was controversially eliminated before receiving the Ink Master title. After the show aired, Jamie began to travel for guest spots and conventions more regularly, from coast to coast, and he still enjoys traveling for them.
Starting out as a comic book artist, Jamie quickly grew bored with its repetitiveness and moved into the world of tattooing, which he feels is a perfect fit for his artistic skill set. He specializes in photo realism, with bold tattoo designs full of dimension, drama and contrast, and has won several awards in nearly every tattoo genre.
